We are delighted to announce that Hurst Green Infant School & Nursery will be joining Tandridge Learning Trust on 1st April 2024.

Hurst Green Infant School & Nursery is a successful and popular one form entry infant school (4-7 years old) and nursery (2-4 years old) based on an attractive, large site with a wooded area in Hurst Green, Oxted.  The school was rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in November 2022 and benefits from an abundance of green space.

Tandridge Learning Trust is a strong partnership of exceptional schools committed to providing a caring and nurturing learning environment that delivers equity and excellence in education for every child. We are committed to supporting the communities we serve and to inspiring a lifelong love of learning for everyone.  Together we work as an innovative learning community, appreciating the significant difference we can achieve by working in partnership. We are proud of our effective network which fosters excellent relationships and creates opportunities for pupils and staff alike to thrive and to learn from one another.

Our vision is to empower every learner to excel and flourish within a culture of inclusion and the highest aspiration. We will consistently place the needs of our learners at the heart of every decision we make whilst working tirelessly to reduce educational inequality and achieve outstanding outcomes for every individual. Hurst Green Infant School & Nursery shares this vision and our values of:

Equity – we strive to eradicate barriers to learning and promote equality in all that we do; we are unbiased, caring, ethical and inclusive.

Collaboration – we work as a team to create strong and sustainable schools; we listen, we share, and we learn together.

Integrity – we build relationships and trust founded in honesty, fairness, and respect for one another.

This addition to our group of five schools comes after careful consideration and fits well with our strategic priority of sustainable growth which allows us to continue to invest in providing exceptional educational opportunities for all pupils within Tandridge Learning Trust, including offering an extensive array of educational resources, and supporting the professional development of all our staff.

We are confident that our current five schools – Bletchingley Village Primary School & Nursery, Hamsey Green Primary School, Tatsfield Primary School, Warlingham School & Sixth Form College, and Woodlea Primary School – as well as Hurst Green Infant School & Nursery - will benefit from this addition to our learning community.

Sarah George, Headteacher of Hurst Green Infant School & Nursery, will join the Executive Board of Tandridge Learning Trust, which comprises the Chief Executive, Rebecca Plaskitt, Director of Finance & Business Operations, Suresh Shan and the Headteachers of all our schools.  We know we are stronger together and we will continue to collaborate to create strong and sustainable schools, sharing best practice to foster innovation, cherishing individuality whilst celebrating differences, and embracing our shared values and common goals to improve teaching and outcomes for all our learners.

We are confident that Hurst Green Infant School & Nursery joining Tandridge Learning Trust is a positive development, one that will further contribute to the overall success of our educational community.
