Member - David Pepperell
David is now retired after 47 years in industry, first in electronic engineering and subsequently in IT.
He began his career at 17 as an engineering apprentice, then worked in the oil industry in the North Sea, North Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. In 1985 he moved into computer engineering and completed a Masters in Systems Engineering. He then became a Project and Programme Manager, managing system deliveries in the telecommunications, finance and public sectors in the UK, Europe, South East Asia and Saudi Arabia.
He is a Chartered Engineer, a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, and a Fellow of the British Computer Society.
After finishing work, David fulfilled a life-long dream by taking an MA in History; he now provides IT support to a small local charity as a volunteer.
