Director of People & Culture - Alison Foster

Alison joined Tandridge Learning Trust as Director of People & Culture in September 2026, having previously working with the Trust on a consultancy basis since October 2025.

Alison provides strategic leadership across the full people agenda, including workforce strategy, organisational design, employee relations, leadership development and governance. In her first months, Alison's immediate priority is building strong working relationships with leaders across the Trust, taking the time to understand how HR can best support the organisation and its people.

As schools continue to navigate significant workforce and operational pressures, Alison is committed to ensuring that Central Services provide the people expertise and support that school leaders need, so they can focus on delivering excellent teaching and learning.

Alison is an experienced senior HR and organisational development leader with a career built around supporting executive teams and boards to deliver sustainable organisational improvement. She spent over five years as Head of Employee Relations and Business Partnership within the NHS, leading complex, high-risk employee relations and safeguarding investigations at executive and board level. Her earlier career spanned independent HR consultancy and over a decade of progressive HR roles within large, highly regulated public sector organisations, giving her deep expertise in employment legislation, governance, organisational change and workforce data and analytics.

Alison holds a Postgraduate Diploma in HR (Grad CIPD) from London South Bank University.

Beyond her professional commitments, Alison enjoys hiking and travelling, always looking forward to her next trail or destination.
