Chief Executive - Rebecca Plaskitt
Rebecca was appointed as Chief Executive of Tandridge Learning Trust in August 2019, having previously held a Director of Education position overseeing Primary and Secondary Schools in London and the Southeast. During the course of a career in education spanning more than 30 years, she has been a successful Headteacher in three very different and diverse schools, the most recent of these being a large, all-through, 3-18 school.
Rebecca is passionate about raising standards of teaching to positively impact every pupil in their learning. She is an advocate for system leadership and sharing evidence-informed best practice. She has coached and mentored many headteachers and senior leaders and was previously a professional partner for the National College. She enjoys the challenge of building strong and effective leadership teams, both within and across schools, to facilitate excellent learning.
The ambitious shared vision for Tandridge Learning Trust is what drives the collaborative work of our Executive Board, ensuring we are a supportive learning organisation, striving to achieve the very best for our communities. Rebecca is committed to this and is proud to lead the Trust in delivering equity and excellence in education.
Rebecca completed a four-year Bachelor of Education (Hons), the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) and also holds an MA in Educational Leadership and Management from the University of Nottingham.
In her spare time, Rebecca likes to get out into the countryside for long walks and she enjoys a number of different sporting activities, in particular running, although now she combines this with regular yoga sessions to prevent injury, (not always successfully!).
